The FOCAL Center’s 1,800-seat performance hall, balcony, orchestra pit, and associated technical production areas are designed to host a wide range of programs and activities. This versatile facility has a black box theatre, large rehearsal rooms that can be used for events and meetings, dressing and green rooms, a full-service catering kitchen, and a lobby with gallery space. The center provides diverse arts, entertainment, educational, business, and civic opportunities for the residents of Forsyth County and surrounding communities. The FOCAL Center is located on a shared site with the Board of Education and the new Academies of Creative Education (ACE). The site is unified by a drive which connects tree-lined sidewalks and shared parking. A green space aligns the connecting sidewalk with the academies building, and a pedestrian-friendly drop-off plaza designed to naturally slow traffic is located in front of the performing arts center.
