The University of Houston received full architectural and civil engineering renovations including the design and installation of a synthetic turf system to the existing natural turf, utilizing a rubber/sand-infilled turf system. Demolition and disposal of excavated field materials from existing natural turf field included the removal of the existing irrigation system within the field. A storm water detention was incorporated into the free-draining stone base to mitigate the increased run-off from the synthetic turf field. Additionally, chemical stabilization of the sub-grade beneath the field was conducted as well as the connection of a sub-drainage system to the existing drainage outlet.
