Texas A&M Physical Education & Activity Program (PEAP) Building

Client: Texas A&M University
Market: Higher Education
Discipline: Architecture + Interiors
Project Area: 115,000 sq. ft.

PBK was selected by the Texas A&M University System for the new Physical Education Activity Program facility (PEAP), which is located near the corner of Penberthy Road and John Kimbrough Boulevard in College Station, Texas. This 115,000 square foot facility houses 12 badminton courts, six volleyball courts, four basketball courts, three weight rooms, and four special use rooms. Other features include rooms for fencing, gymnastics, self-defense, dance, yoga and Pilates, sports conditioning, and boot camp activities. Offices for faculty and graduate students also reside within the facility. Approximately 25,000 students currently receive instruction each semester through the PEAP, and thousands of additional students utilize the current facilities for recreational activities before and after scheduled classes. An even greater student use is expected with the new facility.
“...I am honored to recommend PBK architects for any project proposal that you may have. The quality of work and the high level of professionalism performed by PBK is unmatched by any other architect we have had the chance to work with.”
Rick Hall
Senior Associate Director Texas A&M University System
