Matzke Elementary School showcases sustainable features including a rain cistern, recycling, student gardens, and more. Through these features, sustainability can be taught with a hands-on approach. Additional space was designed and programmed to house the deaf-education program. The special education program and individual grade levels have their own wing or section of the school, all while keeping Matzke a cohesive learning community.
