Los Angeles Fire Station No. 39

Fire Station 39 is a new 18,500 sf facility built by the City of Los Angeles.

The new station was designed to replace the original facility which was originally built in 1919 and rebuilt in 1939. It was the oldest active station in the city. The 1.2 acre site is located in a predominantly commercial area of the city.

The two-story Station is designed to accommodate 20 fire fighters in a number of group dormitories.

Other station features include a 4-bay heavy apparatus room, a 3-bay light apparatus room, administrative offices, kitchen, dining room, physical training room and racquetball court.
