Lemon Grove Early Childhood Education Center

A design-build partnership between PBK and CORE Construction, the new Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) is a pioneering PreK facility in Southern California. Prioritizing outdoor learning and exploration in the natural environment, the ECEC provides a series of student “neighborhoods” that allow for safe, independent learning and play. In addition, fully modular classrooms can be adapted for a variety of teaching styles. The complex includes a library, central multipurpose room, and administrative spaces – all connected by meandering wellness gardens and outdoor circulation paths. The result is a safe, home-like village that introduces children to lifelong learning.
