As the Firmwide Engagement and Partnerships Leader, Sheleah drives the strategic mission of the firm by cultivating key relationships and advancing its reputation as a trusted industry leader in the educational built environment. She shapes the firm’s influence through impactful storytelling, targeted advocacy, and effective engagement strategies.
With more than 20 years of experience in public affairs, strategic communications, partnership development, and advocacy, Sheleah has a proven track record in the education and education-adjacent sectors. Holding a master’s degree in advertising and public relations and an APR accreditation, she is part of an elite group of communication professionals.
Sheleah’s career highlights include serving at several school districts including Aldine ISD where she spearheaded the development of two strategic plans and strengthened the brand as Chief of Staff and Chief Communications Officer. She also elevated the voices of the community who overwhelmingly approved the largest bond referendum in the district’s history totaling approximately $1.8 billion. Additionally, she played a key role in executing the bond programs at Houston ISD and Spring ISD, demonstrating her ability to translate complex strategies into actionable plans while building strong community partnerships.
Focused on long-range planning, bond planning, and bond communications, Sheleah identifies key actions, audiences, and coalitions to strengthen community ties and boost brand visibility. Known for her exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills, she excels at crafting compelling narratives, building consensus, and leading teams through dynamic challenges.
