Seong Shin
As Director of Interior Design for the Tacoma office, Seong collaborates with project teams to create human-centered and meaningful built environments. Focusing on users’ needs, Seong brings the strategy and design of learning environments through the lens of interior architecture and design.
Seong is passionate about integrating the needs and stories of users into her designs, ensuring spaces resonate deeply with the people who use them. Her commitment to balancing function, design, and human connection is evident in every project. This dedication led her to found WILLO (Women’s Intergenerational Living Legacy Organization) in 2014, a community-based non-profit that fosters community connectivity and inspires youth through storytelling.
Seong is also dedicated to mentoring the next generation of interior designers, offering guidance and support to help them develop their unique design voices. She has served on the Elements of Education Board and as a guest speaker on Urban Living and Collaborative Interior Design Process, sharing her insights with students and professionals at UWT, Bellevue College, and various local organizations.
