Andrew Thompson

Andrew Thompson serves as Principal and Client Leader for PBK’s Pre-K–12 and Civic practices, providing strategic leadership and executive oversight for municipalities, counties, and school districts. With more than 25 years of local, national, and international experience, he leads multidisciplinary teams through the planning, design, and construction of complex projects, guiding clients from early conceptual planning through construction and post-occupancy.

Andrew’s experience spans a diverse range of project types, including new construction, modernization, historic preservation, seismic retrofits, interim housing, and modular construction. His broad background across civic, public safety, healthcare, commercial, and educational facilities allows him to approach projects with a balanced perspective that emphasizes practical solutions, innovation, and long-term community impact. He has successfully delivered projects through multiple delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CM Multi-Prime, Lease-Leaseback, and Public-Private Partnerships.

Known for his collaborative leadership style, Andrew is committed to building strong, trusted relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and public agencies to create successful project outcomes. He is equally passionate about mentorship and team development, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service. Grounded in a servant-leader mindset, Andrew focuses on empowering teams and supporting clients through thoughtful leadership and responsive partnership.
