PBK Co-Hosts School Safety and Security Symposium with TSSSC

PBK co-hosted a School Safety and Security Symposium with the Texas School Safety and Security Council (TSSSC) on Nov. 9 in Dallas. Over 30 influential public school district personnel and law enforcement officials convened to discuss safety and security and “best practices” for educational environments. The program included the role that law enforcement plays in schools, the physical design of the facilities, administrative practices and training, and how to implement new technology in existing schools and new facilities. A presentation by Chis Everett of Engaged2Learn, Chief Alan Bragg of the TSSSC and Ian Powell, PBK Partner, revealed optional means of communication, both preventative and responsive, and shared examples of security procedures that would be effective for all grade levels at all campuses. PBK and the TSSSC will continue their partnership through future symposiums and TSSSC meetings, thereby, remaining diligent to incorporate the best safety and security practices into Texas schools.
