New High School Designed by MSSA-PBK Approved by CCSD Board
Canton, GA – Last week, the Cherokee County School District (CCSD) School Board unanimously approved construction of the district’s new $179 million Cherokee High School, designed by MSSA-PBK. The new 473,761 GSF high school is designed for 3,000 students and will feature 152 classroom, a 1,000-seat auditorium, and a 4,500-seat football stadium. Expected to open August 2026, the new high school will replace the district’s oldest facility.
MSSA-PBK added Cherokee County School District to it’s client roster in 2000 and has since completed multiple projects. This project and contract is the largest ever awarded by the Cherokee County School District, which serves more than 41,000 students in 35 public schools. Having the opportunity to continue addressing the growth of this school district and design and oversee construction for this new high school is a huge honor for the entire MSSA-PBK team.
